Thundershowers forecast for the South

Thundershowers forecast for the South

A strong high- pressure system still covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea while strong easterly winds blow across the Gulf of Thailand.
In upper Thailand, cool mornings are forecast while strong winds are possible in the Northeast, the East and the Central regions.
Isolated thundershowers are forecast for the South with waves up 2-3 metres high in the upper Gulf from Surat Thani upwards and 2-4 metres high in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards. People along the shoreline should beware of inshore surges. Ships have been advised to proceed with cautions, and small boats should keep ashore until February 24, the department said.
Meanwhile, the moderate easterly winds across the Central region are expected to ease the dust/smog situation.
In the North, the dust situation in the morning is rather high.
