Two new Thai Covid-19 cases confirmed

Two confirmed Covid-19 cases, both Thais, were reported in Thailand on Tuesday (February 25).

The first case is a housemaid, 31, who was admitted to Rajavithi Hospital with pneumonia. It was found that her family member had recently travelled to China, Public Health Ministry permanent secretary Sukhum Karnchanapimai said.
The second case is of a 29-year-old man, who worked closely with Chinese tourists. He came down with high fever and cough. He has been hospitalised at Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute.
Meanwhile, another Chinese female tourist, 32, in Krabi was discharged. She had arrived in Thailand before China announced the closure of Wuhan airport.
Thailand now has reported 37 cases: 22 have returned home and 15 are hospitalised.
