Two Chinese tourists, one having high fever, were tracked down by police after they left a hospital in Trang before receiving medical attention.

The Chinese tourists claimed that they had waited for the doctor for more than an hour but when nobody came to check on them, they decided to leave the hospital.

When the nurse returned and could not find the patients, she immediately told the doctor, leading to police being alerted to find the two men. A photo of the patient was used to track him down. The two were found eating at an entertainment venue in the heart of Trang.

Trang Hospital director Jirawan Arayapong said that further diagnosis was needed to see if they carried the Covid-19 virus.
