Topsy-turvy gold price trimmed by Bt100
The price of gold dropped by Bt100 per baht weight during the course of Thursday (February 27), the Gold Traders Association reported at 4pm.
By that hour, a gold bar cost Bt24,650 per baht weight to buy and Bt24,750 to sell. Gold ornaments were Bt24,210.52 to buy and Bt25,250 to sell.
The prices decreased by approximately Bt100 per baht weight from the morning because investors submitted a profit-taking order to the market on Tuesday, triggering the sharpest fall in the gold price in nearly four months.
On Wednesday, it cost Bt24,750 per baht weight to buy gold and Bt24,850 to sell it, while gold ornaments were Bt24,301.48 to buy and Bt25,350 to sell.
