Chulalongkorn Hospital suspends some services to cope with Covid-19

Chulalongkorn Hospital under the Thai Red Cross Society on Tuesday (March 3) announced measures to deal with the new coronavirus, or Covid-19, after the Cabinet last week declared Covid-19 a "dangerous contagious disease" under the Communicable Disease Act BE 2558.

“The Ministry of Public Health has ordered related agencies to employ measures to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19 virus,” said the announcement signed by hospital director Prof Dr Suttipong Wacharasindhu. “Therefore, Chulalongkorn Hospital will employ the following measures in compliance with this policy to prevent the outbreak and reduce crowdedness in the hospital:”
1 All physical checkup services for Thai people at the clinic on 16th floor of Phor Por Ror Building will be suspended, but Thai patients can still receive checkup services at other clinics in the hospital.
2 All physical checkup services for foreigners at the clinic on 16th floor of Phor Por Ror Building will also be suspended.
3 All hospital activities that involve gathering of people in a crowded space will be suspended.
