The Army has deployed troops in areas of Khon Kaen province hammered by a hailstorm on Wednesday (March 4) that left 422 homes damaged.

While the soldiers began helping residents recover and rebuild, Governor Somsak Changtragul ordered aid bundles distributed in the areas affected.

Heavy rain is expected to continue for another two days.

Residents of some districts are without electricity after utility poles were blown down. The Provincial Electricity Authority has field technicians repairing them.
