People queue up for face masks as Blue Flag cars begin drive
Bangkokians have queued up at the parking lot of Plaza Lagoon shopping mall to buy face masks provided by the Department of Internal Trade (DIT).
On Thursday (March 5), Minister of Commerce Jurin Laksanawisit announced that the DIT will launch a caravan of 111 Blue Flag cars throughout the country to sell the masks.
Twenty-one cars will sell face masks in Bangkok and its metropolitan areas, while 90 in other provinces.
Some 300,000 face masks will be distributed per day, with each pack containing four pieces priced at Bt10 a pack. Every person is allowed only one pack.
In addition to the mask, the campaign cars sell other products, namely, eggs vegetable oil, and instant noodles.
