Hot day forecast for upper Thailand with isolated thundershowers

The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Tuesday (March 17) that a thermal low covers upper Thailand while a high-pressure system covers the South China Sea. The southerly and southeasterly winds bring humidity to the Northeast, the East, the Central and the lower North.

Meanwhile, the South gets stronger easterly winds across the Gulf. In the North, hot to very hot conditions prevail while thundershowers are expected with isolated wind gusts in the North, the Northeast, the East, the Central and the South.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:
Northern region: Hot to very hot in some areas with thundershowers and wind gusts in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 20-25 degrees and highs of 36-40 degrees Celsius.
Northeastern region: Hot to very hot during the day with thundershowers in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 23-25 degrees and highs of 35-38 degrees Celsius.
Central region: Hot during the day with thundershowers in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-27 degrees, highs of 35-39 degrees Celsius.
Eastern region: Thundershowers in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-28 degrees, highs of 34-36 degrees Celsius; waves a meter high and more than a meter offshore
Southern region (east coast): Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 23-26 degrees, highs of 33-36 degrees Celsius; waves 1-2 metres high.
Southern region (west coast): Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 23-27 degrees, highs of 34-38 degree Celsius; waves a meter high and more than a meter offshore.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Thundershowers in 10 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 26-27 degrees, highs of 34-36 degrees Celsius.
