Associate of Honda R&D hub down with Covid-19

Honda R&D Southeast Asia Co Ltd, said in a statement today ( March 30) that one of its associates has tested positive for Covid -19.

The research and development center for Honda's motorcycle and power products in Southeast Asia has been strictly following procedures to minimise the risk of Covid-19 infection within the organisation as advised by the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health.
It added that one of its associates working at the office in Romklao, Ladkrabang, who was tested for Covid-19 on March 24 had been confirmed " positive" on March 28. This person is now in isolation, under medical care in a hospital.

This associate went on an overseas business trip to Brazil on February 26 and returned to Thailand on March 23 and immediately underwent self-quarantine at home in line with recommendations from The Department of Disease Control, and the company's policy and procedure.
This associate later developed a fever, went to a hospital to get tested for Covid-19, and was confirmed to be positive.
Following confirmation of infection, the company closely monitored the associate for symptoms, and provided medical assistance. It also investigated whether other associates had had close contact with the infected associate after this person's return to Thailand.
The company would like to confirm that the infected associate did not have any close contact with other associates at the office or with any business partners.
"Honda R&D Southeast Asia confirms that the situation will have no impact on our business operation. The company will continue to strictly follow measures to limit the spread of Covid-19 as recommended by the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health. The company will inform you if there is any update regarding the situation," the statement said.
