Phang Nga to soon be closed to visitors

Phang Nga province will soon be closing its doors to visitors after nearly 1,000 tourists flooded in from Phuket, when the island closed its access points from March 29.

Governor Jamroen Tipyapongtada said Phang Nga officials were having problems dealing with the flood of people amid the Covid-19 outbreak.
The governor said he will soon order the city to be shuttered and will order shops to be closed from 10pm to 4am.
He said the province has had no new Covid-19 cases for a month because access to the province has been limited, adding that he has not yet made a final decision about imposing a curfew.
He also said that all new arrivals should follow the Public Health Ministry’s measures and show responsibility by isolating themselves for 14 days.
