Most Justice Ministry officials ordered home after one Covid-19 case discovered

The Justice Ministry has decided to have all junior employees to work from home and will only allow about 20 per cent of civil servants and employees to be present in the offices.

Thanakrit Jitareerat, the ministry’s secretary, said on Wednesday (April 1) that the ministry will take stringent steps measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 after one of its officials was found to have been infected.
He said meetings will be held via video conferencing and work orders made via online platforms. Those attending offices have been ordered to keep their hands always clean to lower the risk of transmission.
The official infected by the virus was on the sixth floor of the Central Institute of Forensic Science building and that area has been sanitized, while those who were in touch with the infected are now under self-quarantine.
“The Justice Ministry is not neglecting the safety of civil servants and its employees,” Thanakrit said. “We are strictly following the Public Health Ministry’s measures and will not be careless.”
