152 Thai returnees who refused to be quarantined told to report to officials by 6pm
Thai returnees from foreign countries who has arrived on Friday night and had refused to be quarantined must report themselves to officials by 6pm on Saturday (April 4), the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration’s spokesman, Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin, said on Saturday.
He said that 152 out of 158 people must report themselves.
“Those who live in Bangkok, Chonburi, or Nonthaburi can report to the Emergency Operation Centre of Suvarnabhumi Airport, while those living in other provinces can inform officials of Damrongdhama Centre of each province,” he added.
The spokesman said six people had on their own reported themselves and they were presently in quarantine at the places provided by the government in Bangkok.
“This is an urgent matter. If the 152 returnees do not act as stipulated in the government’s emergency decree, they will be in violation of the law,” he said. “Their relatives who have been in contact with them should also report themselves, while their families should quarantine themselves in their homes, as they are already in the high-risk group.”
