Interprovincial bus company suspends services

Interprovincial bus company suspends services

Nakhonchai Air, the operator of interprovincial buses and courier service, has put a temporary halt on its bus services until further notice in compliance with the curfew.

The company’s president Kreawan Wongrakmit said on Monday (April 6): “After the government announced a 10pm-4am curfew from April 3, our buses – most of which run at night – cannot provide services. Hence, we have decided to suspend our services until further notice.”
Kreawan also said the authorities had on several occasions found passengers infected with Covid-19 boarding Nakhonchai Air buses.
“Every time we were notified, we would put drivers and attendants under quarantine, and provide a complete passenger list to the Public Health Ministry for investigation,” she said. “We believe that by halting the service our staff will no longer be at risk. We also urge people to minimise their travel to stop the spread of Covid-19.”
The company will provide free rescheduling of trips for those who bought tickets after April 3.
“Rescheduling can be done within a year since the day you bought the ticket,” she said. “Currently there’s no need to contact us as the booking system will leave your departure date blank automatically. You can inform us of your chosen departure date as soon as we resume our services.”
Kreawan said the company’s courier service, NCA Express, is working as usual from 8am to 5pm daily. Visit https://www2.nakhonchaiair.com/view/ for more information.
