Over 80,000 dead as Covid-19 cases worldwide exceed 1.4 million

The latest data from public health agencies around the world indicate that the number of patients with Covid-19 worldwide is currently 1,410,185 people and the death toll is 81,014.


The United States has the highest number of people infected with Covid-19 in the world (386,194), followed by Spain (140,511), Italy (135,586), France (109,069), Germany (106,504) and China (81,740).
Italy is the country with the highest number of deaths (17,127), followed by Spain (13,897), the United States (12,246), France (10,328), United Kingdom (6,159), Iran (3,872) and China (3,331).
New York is considered the epicentre of the Covid-19 virus in the United States, with 138,836 people infected, followed by New Jersey, Michigan and California.
In addition, New York state has the highest number of deaths in the US -- 5,489 -- followed by New Jersey, Michigan and Louisiana.
