Railway mechanic infected with Covid-19
A diesel locomotive mechanic has got infected with Covid-19, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) revealed on Tuesday (April 7) evening.
The SRT said it had just received medical documents from the department of repairs for diesel rail and air-conditioned trains.
The SRT and concerned parties are examining in detail while requesting cooperation from the Ministry of Public Health to carry out procedures for preventing the spread of the virus. Officials said the mechanic reportedly worked at Makkasan workshop with 20-30 co-workers and around 1,000 employees in the nearby area.
