Eight Covid-19 patients in Si Sa Ket have recovered after hospital treatment, Wattana Phutthachat, governor of the province, announced on Monday (April 13).

Wattana made the remark during a ceremony to pay reverence to the Si Sa Ket City Pillar Shrine, adding that he prayed residents of the province would escape all dangers, especially from the Covid-19 disease.
“Sisaket Hospital revealed that eight Covid-19 patients in the province were allowed to return for 14 days of self-isolation in their homes, but one wanted to stay for another day before being discharged,” he said.

He added that they will continue monitoring the virus situation, especially during Songkran season.
“We ask people in the province to postpone meeting or gathering and follow the Emergency Decree, which is in effect until April 30,” he added.
Meanwhile, Covid-19 patients in other five provinces – Chanthaburi, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Mukdahan, and Khon Kaen – recovered and were allowed to return home.
New cases recorded nationwide continued to decline on Monday, with just 28 fresh infections reported. That brought Thailand’s total Covid-19 cases to 2,579, with two more deaths taking the nation’s toll to 40.
