Songkhla tightens anti-virus measures despite no new cases in 11 days
Songkhla province is tightening measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 in various areas, although the number of cases has remained stable for the past eleven days.
Government authorities and the private sector came together today (April 14) to spray disinfectant in many places, including Ranot Market, to make sure that merchants and customers are safe from the virus.
The Covid-19 situation in Songkhla has shown signs of easing as the number of Covid-19 cases hasn’t changed in eleven days.
The total number of patients is 56, including 19 who returned from “Dawah” (Muslim missionary) pilgrimage in Indonesia.
However, many people are still worried that more than 1,200 Thai labourers returning from Indonesia via the Sadao border checkpoint from April 18 could lead to Covid-19 spreading in the province again.
