Earlier, police in Bangmeuang Station district were alerted to multiple gunshots at a house in Sub Yang Yeun village. Officers blockaded the area and got a negotiator to talk to the shooter, who reportedly locked himself in a car that was parked in front of the house. After about an hour, the suspect surrendered.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is Phubet Klinpram, aged 37, an Army private of the Military Police Division. The shooting resulted in the death of one person, Phubet’s father-in-law. Police assumed that the motive for the crime was a personal conflict.
