Krabi launches Covid test centre offering same-day results

The centre’s laboratory had met the Department of Medical Science’s standards on virus detection (real time RT-PCR) and safety, said Kitibadee.
The southern province and hospital have collaborated in establishing the Covid-19 testing centre, also providing medical equipment for its operation. The centre has capacity to check up to 120 samples per day, delivering tests results within 3 to 4 hours.
Supot Phukaoluan, Krabi Hospital’s director, said the lab can also test for dengue and human papillomavirus, a cause of cervical cancer.
