Wildlife at Thung Salaeng Luang National Park in Phitsanulok province is recovering in the absence of disturbance from visitors, the park chief has revealed.

“The forests and meadows are habitats and important food sources for animals. During the closure of our tourist attractions, bison, bears, deer, foxes, barking deer, porcupines and wild boars are wandering all over the park in search of food," said Witoon Detpramuanphon.

For the past month, the animals have been gathering in an open meadow near water sources because there is no scent or voices of humans, he added.

This has allowed park officials to set up a camera to record footage of the wildlife during both the day and night.
