Wildlife re-emerges in national parks in absence of tourists

After the government ordered all national parks to close to prevent Covid-19 from spreading, wild animals have been sighted more frequently by park rangers, especially at Khao Yai National Park, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation posted on its Facebook page on Sunday (May 3).

Wildlife re-emerges in national parks in absence of tourists

The park spans 2,100 square kilometres covering Nakhon Ratchasima, Saraburi, Prachin Buri and Nakhon Nayok provinces,
Among the wild animals that have been spotted roaming around the national park are honey bears, elephants, deer and hornbills. The park remains closed to tourists until further notice.
