Bangkok Land reopens malls and outlets on May 17 with commitment to safety

Bangkok Land Plc, one of Thailand’s leading property developers, is reopening its shopping spaces from today (May 17). The resumption comes following the government's announcement of phase-2 of the easing of lockdown, which allows department stores to open from 10am to 10pm daily. The company pledged to implement strict safety measures.

The company is the manager of lifestyle shopping malls and commercial outlets in Muang Thong Thani, namely Cosmo Bazaar, BeeHive Lifestyle Mall, The Portal, Popular Walk and Outlet Square.
Peter Kanjanapas, vice chairman and executive director of Bangkok Land Plc, said, “Cosmo Bazaar, Bee Hive Lifestyle Mall, Popular Walk and Outlet Square will be fully opened today [Sunday]. The Portal, which is located in Impact Muang Thong Thani, will reopen at a later date. Safety measures will be strictly followed.

“In accordance with our concerns for the health and safety of our customers, business partners and employees, the company has adopted the safety measures for Covid-19 initiated by the Department of Disease Control, the Ministry of Public Health. The five measures to be implemented at all lifestyle malls and retail spaces are: intensive screening, social distancing, fewer touchpoints, cleaning and disinfection, and tracking system.
"Business partners will be asked to set further safety measures specifically designed for their own business types and products," he added.
