AOT to address complaint from disqualified Suvarnabhumi bidder

AOT to address complaint from disqualified Suvarnabhumi bidder

Airports Authority of Thailand (AOT) will hold a boarding meeting on Wednesday (May 27) to address a complaint arising from its tender for the contract to operate Main Terminal Building (MTB) systems and the Transfer Baggage Terminal (TBT) systems at Suvarnabhumi Airport. AOT president Nitinai Sirismatthakarn said that if the board found grounds to the complaint about the electronic bidding, the result would be cancelled.
AOT received the letter of complaint from Dan-Thai Equipment Co, which bid for the MTB and TBT projects but was then disqualified from the process.
The company claims that less than a week after the result was revealed, the committee proposed reconsidering the bidders’ qualifications and holding a revote.
Dan-Thai Equipment Co also said that AOT should disclose the qualifications of those who received and dealt with the bidding document. Failing to reveal this information could affect airport operations as well as benefits to AOT and other bidders, said the company.
