Of the five students who tested positive for Covid-19, two had absolutely no symptoms. The five were among the 39 students who returned from Saudi Arabia on Monday (May 25).

The students were screened at the Padang Besar Customs House in Songkhla’s Sadao district. This group had returned as part of a collaboration with Malaysia, which had chartered a flight to bring back Malaysians stranded in Saudi Arabia.

Six Thais did not pass the screening and were not allowed to board the flight.

The chartered flight landed in Kuala Lumpur and the Thai group was later brought back by the Customs House.
