Seven Thais returning from three countries under observation for Covid-19

Seven out of the 226 Thais who returned home on Wednesday (May 27) from the Netherlands, Canada and Hong Kong were classified as PUI (patient under investigation) as they showed symptoms similar to Covid-19, Suvarnabhumi Airport deputy director Kittipong Kittikachorn said on Wednesday.

The Thais arrived by three flights at the airport.
“Of the 42 Thais who departed from the Netherlands on KLM Airlines Flight KL 875 and arrived at noon, 41 passed the screening procedures but one returnee was classified as PUI and rushed to hospital for detailed examination.” he said. “The rest of the passengers were later transported to quarantine facilities in Samut Prakan province to complete the mandatory 14-day quarantine. The flight also flew four foreigners -- two Danish, one Norwegian and one Swiss -- who were transported to the quarantine facilities of their respective embassies.”
Two out of 100 passengers travelling on Nippon Airways Flight NH 847 from Canada, which arrived at 3pm, were classified as PUI and rushed to hospital. The rest were transported to quarantine facilities in Bangkok. The flight also carried one Canadian who is a staff of the Canada Embassy and was transported to the embassy’s quarantine facility.
Four out of 85 Thais who departed from Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific Flight CX 701 and arrived at 5.20pm were classified as PUI and rushed to hospital. The rest were sent to quarantine facilities in Chonburi province.
