CM’s renowned Khum Khantoke restaurant shuts shop after bitter virus crisis

Acclaimed traditional restaurant Khum Khantoke has closed after taking a battering from the Covid-19 crisis, Chaing Mai 108 website announced today (June 1).

A statement by the restaurant shown on the website said it closed on Saturday (May 30) and its staff laid off. The statement was signed on Friday.
Khum Khantoke, owned by Chiang Mai resident Watchara Tantranon, has been in business since December 2000. The place, offering scrumptious traditional fare in a Lanna-styled atmosphere, was popular with both domestic and foreign tourists.
