Parents of over 1,300 students take their children to Suankularb Wittayalai School in Bangkok’s Phra Nakhon district to take the entrance examination for Matthayom 1 (lower-secondary level) on Saturday (June 6).

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration [CCSA] had given the okay for Office of Basic Education Commission to hold entrance exams for students in Mathayom 1 [lower-secondary] and Mathayom 4 [higher secondary] levels for the 2020 academic year on June 6 and 7 at selected venues. The responsible institutes must strictly adhere to social distancing practices and measures announced by the Public Health Ministry to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Screening checkpoints equipped with thermal scanners were set up at all three entrances to the school, while all test takers and staff must wear face mask at all times. The school had also cleaned and disinfected the exam rooms and desks before the test. Parents are allowed to wait at the cafeteria, while the students are taking the test, where social distancing practices must be followed.
