More Thais stranded in Japan and China coming home

Thai nationals stranded in Japan due to the Covid-19 crisis would be returning to their home country on Wednesday, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo said on Tuesday (June 9).

The embassy said on its official Facebook page that the Thais would arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 3.40pm in a Japan Airlines Flight JL 031.
The embassy said in the post that the returnees must follow the Covid-19 precaution guidelines issued by the Public Health Ministry and would be quarantined for 14 days on arrival.
The embassy did not reveal the number of Thais on the flight.

Also on Tuesday, the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing announced on its official Facebook page that 37 Thais stranded in China would arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 11.55pm of Tuesday. The passengers departed from Beijing International Airport on a China Airline Flight CA 979 at 7.50pm (local time). All the returnees agreed to enter the government’s quarantine facilities upon arrival and will remain there for 14 days, the embassy said.
