Phatthalung gets ready for boom in tourism as restrictions lifted

Tourism in Phatthalung province is picking up now that nationwide lockdown measures and curfew have been completely lifted.

Most hotel rooms in the province have been booked up until the end of the year and businesses are preparing for the boost in business.
Phatthalung resident Arun Maiwoon, 50, is making the most of this opportunity by turning his 7-rai rice fields into a learning centre for visitors to learn about not just agriculture, but also cuisine and art.
He said his learning centre will show people the true nature of how Phatthalung residents lead their lives. Visitors will also be given a chance to experience traditional lifestyles, cook local food and enjoy nature trails, which is a pride of the province.
