Cloudy skies and thundershowers forecast for most of Thailand
Heavy rains are forecast for some parts of the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South.
The Thailand Meteorological Department said on Friday (June 19) that a low pressure cell covers Laos while the southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and Thailand. The department has warned of the risk of flash floods.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:
Northern region: Cloudy with thundershowers in 70 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-25 degrees Celsius and highs of 30-33°C.
Northeastern region: Cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-24°C and highs of 32-34°C.
Central region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 22-25°C, highs of 31-35°C.
Eastern region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-24°C, highs of 33-34°C; waves a metre high and two metres during thundershowers.
Southern region (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-25°C, highs of 32-35°C; waves a metre high and two metres during thundershowers.
Southern region (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-24°C, highs of 32-35°C; waves a metre high and two metres during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-24°C, highs of 33-35°C.
