Heavy rain forecast for some areas with danger of flash floods

The southwest monsoon prevails over Thailand and the Andaman Sea while the low pressure cell covers upper Vietnam. Heavy rains are forecast in some parts of Thailand, and people in these areas should beware of the severe conditions, the Thailand Meteorological Department said.

The weather forecast for different parts of the country for Sunday:
Bangkok and its vicinity: Cloudy with scattered thundershowers; minimum temperature 26-27 degrees Celsius, maximum 34-37°C; southwesterly winds 10-30kph.
Central: Cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Lopburi, Sara Buri, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi provinces; minimum temperature 25-26°C, maximum 35-36°C; southwesterly winds 10-20kph.
North: Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun provinces; minimum temperature 23-27°C, maximum 31-35°C; southwesterly winds 10-20kph.
Northeast: Cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Loei, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima provinces; minimum temperature 24-26°C, maximum 34-36°C; southwesterly winds 10-20kph.
East: Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Chachoengsao, Prachin Buri, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat provinces; minimum temperature 24-26°C, maximum 31-35°C. Southwesterly winds 15-30kph; waves about a metre high and about two metres in thundershower areas.
South ( East Coast): Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla provinces; minimum temperature 24-26°C,. maximum temperature 32-36°C; southwesterly winds 10-30kph; waves below one metre and 1-2 metres in thundershower areas.

South (West Coast): Very cloudy with scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Phangaga, Phuket and Krabi. Minimum temperature 23-25 °C. Maximum temperature 31-34 °C. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and about 2 meters in thundershowers areas. 
Seven-day forecast:
On June 27-28, the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and Thailand while the low pressure cell covers upper Vietnam. Thundershowers with isolated heavy rain continue over the country. From June 29 to July 3, the southwest monsoon prevailing across the Andaman Sea and Thailand will strengthen while the monsoon trough will lie across Myanmar, upper Laos and upper Vietnam. More rain with isolated heavy rain is forecast for the whole country.
People in Thailand have been advised to beware of the severe conditions in this period that may cause flash floods.
