Heavy rains forecast for most of Thailand

The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea and Thailand and the low pressure cell covering upper Vietnam will bring rainfall to most parts of the country and isolated spells of heavy showers, the Thailand Meteorological Department forecast today (June 29).

Here’s the weather forecast for the next 24 hours:
Northern region: Cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-27 degrees Celsius and highs of 33-37°C.
Northeastern region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the area and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 25-26°C and highs of 35-36°C.
Central region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the area and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 25-26°C, highs of 35-37°C.
Eastern region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 30-35°C; waves a metre high and two metres during thundershowers.
Southern region (east coast): Cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 32-35°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
Southern region (west coast): Cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-26°C, highs of 30-34°C; waves a metre high and two metres during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the area; temperature lows of 26-27°C, highs of 34-37°C.
