Rains ease in upper Thailand, but isolated heavy showers forecast for lower South

The weak southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea and Thailand will ease the wet spell in the upper country, the Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Friday (July 10).

The easterly winds prevailing over the South, however, will bring more rainfall and isolated heavy rain mostly in the lower South.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:
North: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 25-27 degrees Celsius and highs of 34-37°C.
Northeast: Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-27°C and highs of 35-37°C.
Central: Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 25-27°C, highs of 35-37°C.
East: Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 25-29°C, highs of 33-36°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-26°C, highs of 33-36°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 23-25°C, highs of 31-33°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 26-28°C, highs of 34-37°C.
