Rayong fresh market sees fewer customers
Fewer people than usual visited the fresh market in Rayong province this morning (July 14) after fearsome news that an Egyptian soldier infected with Covid-19 stayed in a hotel and freely shopped at the Laem Thong department store in Rayong city municipality.
The Egyptian soldier, who travelled with a military crew to Thailand on July 8, was found positive after a Covid-19 test yesterday (July 13).
His case was announced by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration yesterday, together with the case of an infected girl of a Sudanese diplomat’s family, who arrived in Bangkok on July 10.
The atmosphere in the market is normally energetic, but news of one Covid-19 case in Rayong and possibly the rain as well kept many people home.
