CCSA to revise easing of entry measures for three types of foreigners

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has decided to revise the easing of measures that allow certain groups of foreigners to enter the Kingdom, the centre’s spokesperson Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin said on Tuesday (July 14).

He said CCSA will first ask the Foreign Ministry to revoke the permission granted to eight Egyptian air force planes to land in Thailand from July 17 to 20 and then again on July 25 to 29.

Second, CCSA will ensure that diplomats' families entering Thailand undergo a 14-day state quarantine.
Third, it will suspend permission for entry granted to three types of persons, namely guests of the prime minister, diplomatic staff and non-Thai nationals permitted to enter the Kingdom under special arrangements with a foreign country. Entry to these three types of persons will be suspended unless necessary.
CCSA made these resolutions after it was found that one of a group of Egyptian soldiers who were allowed to visit Rayong last week was infected with Covid-19. Some members of the group also visited department stores in the province.
