Red-shirt leaders brace for Govt House siege verdict
Red-shirt leaders of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) turned up today (July 15) at the Bangkok Criminal Court for the trial stemming from their siege at Government House in 2009.
Defendants Veerakarn Musikapong, Weng Tochirakarn, Wiputhalaeng Pattanapoomthai and Natthawut Saikua are charged with gathering more than 10 people, creating public chaos in the city and violently resisting authorities.
UDD leader Jatuporn Prompan, as co-defendant, also arrived at the court today.
The verdict is expected tomorrow (July 16).
