Nine people in Rayong have tested negative for Covid-19 after coming into close contact with an infected Egyptian soldier who visited the province last week.

Two hotel managers, one employee, four housemaids, and two drivers were tested and cleared of infection, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported on Wednesday (July 15).

Rayong authorities have urged anyone who visited the Laem Thong shopping mall on the same day as the infected Egyptian – July 10 – to visit the city’s Covid-19 testing facility for a free test today or tomorrow from 10am-3pm.
