Prayut government lacking in ethics: poll

In a scathing put-down of politicians, a new poll shows over 82 per cent of the new generation consider Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha's government as lacking in ethics.

The Super Poll Research Centre surveyed the new generation's views on politicians from July 15 to 17.

The survey showed that 82.8 per cent of respondents consider politicians in the Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha government as not having ethics, while only 17.2 per cent said they were ethical.

The other revelations in the survey were:

▪︎ 71.6 per cent of respondents said they will not obey politicians, while 28.4 per cent will obey;

▪︎ 67.4 per cent of respondents said politicians do not have good manners, while 32.6 per cent said they have good manners;

▪︎ 56.2 per cent of respondents said law enforcement cannot stop the new generation, while 43.8 per cent said it could;

▪︎ 79.0 per cent of respondents said current politics was just old-fashioned politics, while 21.0 per cent said they could see changes;

▪︎ 75.5 per cent of respondents said the government's work does not benefit the new generation, while 24.5 per cent said they were benefiting;

▪︎ 58.4 per cent of respondents said they were resigned about the country's future, while 41.6 per cent said they were still hopeful.
