Ex-beauty queen wanted to join Free Youth political protest

Thai-Swedish model and former beauty queen Maria Lynn Ehren (or Maria Poonlertlarp) on Saturday showed her care and concern for the ‘Free Youth’ movement, which organised a political protest against the government near Democracy Monument on Saturday (July 18).

The model posted on her Instagram on Saturday: “Stay safe; if you’re sick ,stay home – if you’re out, wear the mask! Wish I was there”.
The model was in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, on a hiking trip.
The Student Union of Thailand and the "Yaowashon Plod Ak -- Free Youth" group held a street protest at Democracy Monument on Saturday evening to express their opposition to what they call Thailand's "deep-rooted dictatorial system".
The protesters demanded that the government stop threatening people, dissolve Parliament and rewrite the Constitution as they were inefficient in governing the country.
The street protest was called off on Saturday night, as the protest leaders were worried about conflicts between protesters and the authorities.
The youth vowed to continue their fight for democracy, and reiterated their demand that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha dissolve Parliament in 14 days.
