The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration met on Monday (July 20) to discuss the possibility of easing lockdown measures further.

In the Phase 6 of easing, restriction on foreign workers will be lifted, foreign firms will be allowed to hold exhibitions or shoot films, while certain groups of foreign tourists will be allowed in, deputy Army chief General Nattapol Nakpanit said.

The meeting has also looked into whether the state of emergency needs to be extended after it ends on July 31, secretary-general of the National Security Council General Somsak Rungsita said.

There was only one new case of Covid-19 over a 24-hour period, the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration(CCSA) reported on Monday (July 20).
