Isolated heavy rain forecast for the Northeast, East and South
The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Friday (July 24) that easterly winds will move through the lower Northeast, the East and the Gulf while the weak southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and Thailand.
Isolated heavy rain is likely in the areas. People in the Northeast, the East and the South have been advised to beware of severe conditions.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:
North: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees and highs of 32-36°C.
Northeast: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26°C and highs of 33-36°C.
Central: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 34-36°C.
East: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 33-35°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-25°C, highs of 32-35°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-25°C, highs of 32-34°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 25-26°C, highs of 33-35°C.
