Railway station guard hailed as hero for saving man’s life
A guard at the Si Sa Ket railway station risked his own life on Thursday (August 6) to save a man from being crushed to death by a train that was pulling into the station.
Anek Saenmueangchin, 39, who is being hailed as a local hero, said just as the train was arriving he saw a man walking along the track and managed to pull him to safety before the fatal accident.
He added that the potential victim appeared to be mentally challenged.
