Arrest warrant sought for killer of gambling den shooter

Arrest warrant sought for killer of gambling den shooter

Tungmahamek police on Friday (August 7) called on the Bangkok South Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for 61-year-old Phiphit "Boy BangKrua" Srisuwan, who allegedly confessed to killing a man at a gambling den in Bangkok’s Yannawa district on Monday.

Though it has been reported that Phiphit surrendered, police have yet to issue an official statement confirming this.
Phiphit allegedly has a police record and is believed to be a big gambler who visited the Yannawa gambling den often.
As for the clip showing men removing surveillance cameras and other assets after the shooting, Pol Maj-General Jirapat Phumichit, deputy commissioner of Metropolitan Police, said one of these men had been caught.
He added that police are interrogating the man to find out where he has taken the assets and how he is related to the case.
Jirapat added that a manhunt has been launched for the other four or five persons seen in the clip.
A police major was among three people shot dead at the gambling den in Yannawa district on Monday night by a losing gambler, who was in turn allegedly killed by Jirapat.
