Woman narrowly escapes fire
A 62-year-old woman managed to safely make her way out of her burning two-storey wooden house in Sa Kaew’s Aranyaprathet district on Tuesday (September 1).
It took firefighters nearly half an hour to control the blaze, which razed the house to the ground.
Pranee Kaokratoke said she smelled smoke while having a shower upstairs, and rushed downstairs to find her house on fire. She believes a short circuit may have sparked the blaze.
The Ban Thai Samart village fund committee and the Ban Dan sub-district municipality have provided Pranee with basic necessities, drinking water and temporary lodging.
