Thundershowers forecast for most of Thailand

The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Monday (September 14) that the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and Thailand, resulting in thundershowers continuing over the whole country with isolated heavy rains in the East and the South.

People in risky areas should beware of the severe conditions, the department cautioned.
With moderate winds and waves in the Andaman Sea likely to be 1-2 metres high and above three metres high during thundershowers, ships have been advised to proceed with caution and avoid thundershowers, while small boats should keep ashore.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:
North: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-25 degrees Celsius and maximum 32-34°C.
Northeast: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-25°C, maximum 31-33°C.
Central: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-26°C, maximum 31-34°C.
East: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rain; minimum temperature 24-27°C, maximum 30-32°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rain; minimum temperature 23-25°C, maximum 33-35°C; waves less than a metre high and one metre high during thundershowers.
South (west coast): Cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rain; minimum temperature 22-24°C, maximum 31-33°C; waves 1-2 metres high and over three metres during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 25-26°C, maximum 31-33°C.
