Five new Covid-19 cases in quarantine

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported five new cases in quarantine facilities over a 24-hour period on Wednesday.

All the cases were asymptomatic patients.
A 34-year-old soldier who went on a UN mission to South Sudan tested positive at a Chonburi state quarantine facility. He was first found positive on September 26 but the result was not clear. The second test on September 29 confirmed the infection.
Two men aged 26 and 64 returned from India on September 25 and tested positive on the third day in a Samut Prakarn state quarantine facility.
A 31-year-old Indian employee with work permit travelled from his home country on September 23 and tested positive on the fifth day in an alternative quarantine facility in Chonburi.
A 41-year-old male freelancer returned from Kuwait on September 22 and tested positive on the fourth day in quarantine.
Meanwhile, four patients have recovered and been discharged.
The total number of confirmed cases in Thailand increased to 3,564 (626 in state quarantine), 131 are in hospital, 3,374 have recovered and been discharged and 59 have died.
According to Worldometer, as of 10am on Wednesday, the total number of confirmed cases increased to 33.84 million (up by 287,906 over a 24-hour period), 25.14 million have recovered, 7.68 million are active cases (65,977 in serious condition) and 1.01 million have died.
Thailand ranks 137th for most cases in the world, while the US has the most number with 7.4 million, followed by India 6.22 million, Brazil 4.78 million, Russia 1.16 million and Colombia 824,042.
