Fire engines called in to deal with burning NGV taxi

A taxi caught fire on Bangna-Trad Road in Samut Prakan province, after NGV starting leaking from its tank on Thursday.

Bang Phli police was informed of the case and reached the place with rescue personnel.
When police failed to put out the blaze with fire extinguishers, fire engines were called in. It took them over 10 minutes to extinguish the flames.
Wanlop Teekoknoi, the 55-year-old taxi driver, said that he had taken his taxi out from a garage in the evening when he got a burning smell from the engine, and also saw smoke, and soon there was a fire.
