The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Thursday that a high pressure area covering the upper North and the Northeast will cause less rain in those areas and temperatures will see a 1-2° C decrease with strong wind in the Northeast, the North and the Central regions. Meanwhile, isolated heavy rains are likely in the South amid a monsoon trough, it said.

The department mentioned that category 4 severe tropical storm Saudel in the South China Sea is expected to make landfall in Vietnam on October 25 and 26 before declining rapidly. Isolated rain with strong wind is likely over the East and lower Northeast on these days.
