A 20-year-old Thai female freelancer flew back from the United Kingdom on November 16 and went to a state quarantine facility in Chonburi province where she was found positive on November 20.
Two Thai women -- a 47-year-old bakery employee and a 45-year-old masseuse -- travelled back from Hungary on November 17 and were found positive on November 20 in a state quarantine hotel in Samut Prakarn province.
A 17-year-old student who had returned from Myanmar on November 20 was taken to Mae Sot Hospital in Tak province after testing positive on the same day with fever, cough, muscle ache and headache.
A 46-year-old American businessman arrived on November 20 and tested positive in an alternative state quarantine hotel in Bangkok on the same day.
A Norwegian couple -- a 77-year-old woman and a 78-year-old man -- arrived on November 15 and tested positive on November 20 in an alternative state quarantine hotel in Bangkok.
A 48-year-old Burmese male freelancer was taken to Mae Sot Hospital on November 20 after being found positive in Ban Um Piem shelter, considered a local transmission case. He was suspected to have sneaked into the are from Myanmar.
Meanwhile, five patients have recovered and been discharged.
The total number of confirmed cases in Thailand increased to 3,913 (952 in state quarantine), 92 are in hospital, 3,761 have recovered and been discharged and 60 have died.
According to Worldometer, as of 10am on Sunday, the total number of confirmed cases had increased to 58.49 million (up by 581,603), 40.46 million have recovered, 16.64 million are active cases (102,396 in severe condition) and 1.38 million have died (up by 10,758).
Thailand ranks 151st for most cases in the world, while the US has the most number with 12.45 million, followed by India 9.09 million, Brazil 6.05 million, France 2.13 million and Russia 2.06 million.
