Ex-minister Banyin gets death for premeditated murder of property tycoon
Phra Khanong Criminal Court on Wednesday sentenced former deputy commerce minister Banyin Tangpakorn to death for the premeditated murder of building contractor Chuwong Sae Tang.
On July 26, 2015, billionaire Chuwong was found dead in the front seat of a car driven by Banyin. Investigators later proved that the accident scene had been set up to conceal the fact that Chuwong had been murdered by Banyin earlier.
Banyin, who is in prison for falsifying documents and the murder of a judge’s brother, was informed of the death sentence.
